A Fragile Enchantment takes place in a fantasy analogue of Regency England. A Far Wilder Magic is set in a fantasy version of California in the early 20th century. Down Comes the Night’s setting is influenced by 19th-century Gothic novels. John and Ken invite Melvin Rogers, Professor of Political Science and African American Studies at UCLA and author of The Undiscovered Dewey.
